  • Lesson 5: Transitioning Your Church to All-Believer Priesthood

How can you help your church move toward all-believer priesthood? This week, you will read Chapter 7 from Curing Sunday Spectatoritis: From Passivity to Participation in Church. This chapter discusses a variety of teaching topics that will likely be needed to prepare a congregation to move in that direction from a traditional-church model.

You will also read “Our Journey in Implementing Participatory Church Meetings,” by Brian Anderson, who currently serves as pastor in The Bridge Church, Rancho Cordova, California. Then you’ll watch a video interview in which Brian describes the process he followed in the transitional journey.

Assignment: You will write a letter to the members of your Personal Learning Community describing what from this certificate course you will implement in your own church. Write your two-page journal entry.
